A central New York man facing numerous violent criminal charges is accused of fatally shooting his parents weeks after they posted bail to secure his release from jail, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators say the man then took his own life inside the family’s home, WSYR reported.
Authorities identified the deceased as 35-year-old Justin Sislo and his parents, Donna Walker-Sislo, 72, and Steve Sislo, 76. Deputies were dispatched to the family’s residence in the town of Madison on Aug. 7 after receiving a welfare complaint. Investigators said deputies detected a strong odor of gas outside the home and heard gas escaping from inside before discovering the victims.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies spotted two people who appeared to be dead through a window before entering the home, where they located a third body. All three had suffered fatal gunshot wounds, and investigators recovered a firearm at the scene.
