EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — U.S. and Mexican authorities staged a large-scale security exercise along the Rio Grande on Thursday, testing how law enforcement and military agencies on both sides of the border would respond to a potential security threat.
The operation unfolded along a highly visible stretch of the Rio Grande in Central El Paso, across from the area surrounding the large red “X” monument in Juárez.
