GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Fire Department posted on its Facebook page for the 20th anniversary of the death of Lt. Arnie Wolff.
On August 13, the fire department was sent to a house fire on Edgewood Drive just before 12:30 p.m. As crews arrived, heavy smoke was seen coming from the residence.
Basement fire in Kaukauna causes $100,000 in damage
Lt. Wolff, along with a firefighter, entered the residence for search and rescue. Shortly after entering a section of the floor collapsed and sent both into the basement.
