Lafayette Police asking for help identifying pedestrian killed on Evangeline Thruway

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Police are asking for your help identifying a woman who was killed while crossing Evangeline Thruway last week.

The victim, a Black female, was hit in the 2100 block of NE Evangeline Thruway Aug. 4 and pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators have been unable to identify the woman, and are turning to the public for assistance.

The woman is described as a Black female possibly in her late 20s of early 30s, 5 feet 6 inches tall weighing 175 lbs. She has a tattoo on her right forearm that says “We only past to meet again.”…
