How many Cyclospora cases are in Kansas City? See latest numbers in 5 counties

All five counties within the Kansas City metro have confirmed growth in cases of Cyclospora in their area, according to the latest updates from state and county health departments.

Nationwide, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed 13,895 domestic cases, and about 10,455 others are undergoing further testing to determine whether the illness known for causing diarrhea and vomiting was acquired stateside.

Of these nearly 14,000 cases, 1,577 come from Missouri and 748 come from Kansas. The updates come not long after the CDC announced that both states are now linked to the multistate Cyclospora outbreak caused by shredded lettuce supplied from Taylor Farms…
