MADISON, Wis. — West Badger Road will close from South Park Street to North Rusk Ave. on Friday for Corey Ruiz’s funeral.
The road will stay closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the bridge over the railroad along West Badger Road will also be closed. Local traffic will be allowed access to homes along West Badger Parkway and West Badger Road up to the bridge.
The closure is being done to protect those going to Fountain of Life Church, where funeral services for Corey Ruiz will be held on Friday. Ruiz was shot and killed by a Madison police officer last month. Police said he injured an officer with a knife during a struggle prior to the shooting…
