In 2021, a debut festival took the state by storm and made an indelible mark on the Arkansas events scene, picking up accolades from the Arkansas Festival and Events Association on its way. Last year, that celebration was renamed the Mid-South Music Festival, and organizers made sure to double down on all the fun, food and entertainment that had made it such a hit.
In 2026, downtown Arkadelphia is set to wow yet again as the Mid-South Music Festival makes its return from October 16-17. Celebrating the best of the southwest region across music, food and art, the free-to-attend Mid-South Music Festival will span two jam-packed days of high-energy performances, interactive workshops and mouthwatering eats.
Standout live music performances are the cornerstone of the festival, and the 2026 lineup features a diverse mix of local favorites, rising stars and nationally recognized artists. Saturday’s Music Row stage, sponsored by Southwest Auto Collection, will be headlined by Southern Bancorp headliner LANCO, the award-winning country group known for chart-topping hits and high-energy performances. Kicking off the evening beforehand is Franklin Jonas, who will bring his distinctive folk-inspired sound to the stage at 6:30 p.m.
The day will also feature performances by Arkansas native and former American Idol contestant Makiyah Mustiful, whose powerful vocals have earned attention across the region, and the Tina Cossey Band, delivering a rich blend of soul, blues and classic Southern sound. Opening Saturday’s festivities is Bloodhound Band, setting the tone with an eclectic mix of music and crowd-pleasing energy.
Flashback Friday, meanwhile, is making its much-anticipated return with a celebration of all things ‘80s. This year’s Entergy headliner, MJ The Illusion, will bring the music and magic of Michael Jackson to the Southwest Auto Collection stage at 8:00 p.m. Festivalgoers can also enjoy the smooth yacht rock favorites of The Yachties at 6:30 p.m., while DJ ECilla the Killa gets the party started with an energetic, 80s-themed DJ set…
