Residents packed the Prichard city council chambers Thursday night with one message loud and clear: they do not want a data center in their community.
“Everybody has to be on one page. You all want the citizens to agree with you guys, you want us on the same page, but if the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing we have a problem,” one resident said. “People can’t come in and run our city the way they want to run it just because that’s what they like. That’s not how it goes.”
The public hearing gave residents an opportunity to voice their concerns about the project, including what it could mean for their neighborhoods and the future of Prichard.
