In a statement, the Department of Education said, “New York City Public Schools takes these heinous allegations seriously. This individual was immediately reassigned away from students, and if the claims are substantiated, we will pursue termination.” Police are seeking more possible victims after a teacher was arrested for alleged inappropriate touching of a 12-year-old student.
