MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Dozens of Milwaukee teens gathered at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Thursday, Aug. 13 for a mental health event organized by Neu-Life Community Development, where three guest speakers shared their own experiences with mental health struggles.
Social media is one of the most common concerns Neu-Life hears about from teens, according to Executive Director Jody Rhodes.
“Social media, and the joy it can bring but also the tears and trauma it can bring,” Rhodes said. “We are talking about that and what is a healthy amount of being on social media and how to handle things that are said on social media and how to just be nicer to one another, especially on social media.”
