WINDSOR — More than two dozen children, with parents in tow, were lined up at the door a good 10 minutes before the first bell rang Aug. 13.
Nervous energy prevented the kids from standing still as they held their parents’ hands, posed for pictures and reconnected with friends they hadn’t seen in months.
When the doors opened, students were greeted by Principal Shelly Butcher, Assistant Principal Mark Kucza, specials teachers and the front-office staff as they made their way into Hollister Lake Elementary for the first day of the new school year in the Weld RE-4 School District.
