Luigi Mangione Made Chilling Confession During Plea Hearing Friday

While in court this Friday afternoon, Luigi Mangione admitted to shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

Thompson was shot and killed on the morning of Dec. 4, 2024 in Midtown Manhattan. Five days later, Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania. It wasn’t until this week that Mangione revealed he posed as a potential investor in order to track Thompson’s location.

“After years of enduring severe pain from a broken back … I learned that UnitedHealthcare would be holding its annual investor conference in New York City,” Mangione said. “Before traveling to New York, I used a 3-D printer to make part of a gun, and I equipped the gun with the silencer and the magazine.
