FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) said a crash caused part of I-385 to shut down in Fountain Inn on Friday afternoon.
Officials said the crash was located on I-385 westbound near exit 22.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred after a tree started to fall across I-385. A Chrysler sedan swerved to avoid it, hit a guard rail and then the tree before overturning. A Toyota sedan then hit the Chrysler after missing the tree. Multiple people received non-life-threatening injuries.
