County Finalizes Purchase of 90-acre Sterling Property Eyed for Passive Park

After a year of negotiations, county staff have finalized the purchase of a 90.56-acre, forested property along the Potomac River that will be preserved as passive parkland.

The property is located northwest of the Country Side neighborhood in eastern Loudoun and includes approximately 1,680 feet of Potomac River frontage. The county acquired the property for $22,000 per acre, for a total purchase price of approximately $1.99 million.
