The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) released an overview of reported calls for service from August 13, 2026, which included multiple catalytic converter thefts, auto thefts, a robbery and burglaries across the county.
In the 1st District, which includes Rockville, Potomac and parts of North Bethesda, catalytic converters were stolen from two vehicles in the 5500 block of Wilkins Ct. at approximately 3:22am.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, Takoma Park, White Oak and surrounding areas, a catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Manchester Rd. and Manchester Pl. sometime between 5pm Wednesday and 7:40am Thursday. At approximately 12:57pm, a man was assaulted and had property taken in the area of New Hampshire Ave. and Eldrid Dr. Police said three juveniles were taken into custody in connection with the robbery.
