CANYON, Texas (KFDA) – Canyon Independent School District announced Friday it is making plans to modernize its facilities and improve utility efficiency.
The facilities modernization plan is expected to generate about $13 million in utility savings over the next 20 years.
Under the plan, the district would partner with Schneider Electric to improve energy efficiency through some of the following improvements:
- LED lighting upgrades
- water conservation enhancements
- building automation system upgrades across multiple campuses
