CHICAGO — Authorities say one person is dead and another is recovering in the hospital on Saturday morning following a crash along the Stevenson Expressway.
According to Illinois State Police, the crash occurred along the southbound lanes of I-55 near Wentworth, at around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

While details surrounding what led up to the crash are currently unclear, troopers said one person inside one of the vehicles was pronounced dead on the scene.
A second person who sustained injuries in the crash was later transported to the hospital, though their condition is unknown…
