LINCOLN–(KFOR Aug. 15)– At around 1:20 am early Saturday, a Lincoln Police Department officer was driving her police cruiser near 48th and O St when she observed a Chevy Impala driving westbound on O St at a high rate of speed. Using a mobile radar device she found that the vehicle was traveling at 104 miles per hour in a 40 miles per hour zone.
LPD LT Chris Weber told KFOR News, before the officer was able to turn around and catch up to the vehicle to attempt to stop it, the driver lost control near 42nd and O St. The Impala struck the median, crossed into the opposing lanes of traffic and then struck a retaining wall. There were a number of other cars in the vicinity, but no other vehicle was struck.
The LPD officer arrived at the crash and contacted the driver, who was found to be uninjured. The driver, Mohammed Ramadan was uncooperative and hostile with police and Lincoln Fire and Rescue personnel…
