NYPD seeks woman accused of injuring employee during Manhattan escape
NEW YORK, NY – A suspected shoplifting attempt inside a Manhattan store turned violent last month when a woman allegedly struck a 74-year-old employee in the face with an umbrella after he tried to stop her from leaving with unpaid merchandise, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened July 9 at approximately 4:25 p.m. inside a commercial establishment at 826 Avenue of the Americas.
