A Multi-Home Fire in South Sacramento Took a Dangerous Turn When a Roof Partially Collapsed

A Sacramento homeowner is lucky to have escaped a blaze that started near his home this week. The Sacramento Fire Department posted about the fire on its Instagram page, sharing how the fire at the home was just one of three working fires they were called to on Aug. 11, 2026.

According to the initial report, it appears that a tree caught fire in the yard next to the home, and then the flames quickly spread. The blaze began just after 11 a.m. local time, according to Fox 40, and before it was cleared, it was upgraded to a two-alarm fire.

In the end, the roof of one of the houses partially collapsed as a result of the fire, making it that much more miraculous that nobody was hurt during the incident…
