Rochester, N.Y. — Clarissa Street will be filled with music, food and community on Saturday as the Clarissa Street Legacy hosts the 28th Annual Clarissa Street Reunion, a daylong celebration highlighting Rochester’s African American history and culture.
Organizers say thousands of residents, families, former neighbors, visitors, artists, vendors, community leaders and supporters are expected to gather on one of Rochester’s most historic streets.
The reunion continues a tradition that began in 1996, celebrating the people, businesses, artists, families and cultural institutions that helped make Clarissa Street a cornerstone of Rochester’s African American history…
