CINCINNATI (WXIX) – We are not completely done with storms just yet. A SLIGHT Risk for severe storms remains across the Tri-State through the rest of Saturday evening, with damaging wind the main concern and an isolated tornado also possible. With the incredibly wet week we have had, any storm capable of producing heavy rain could also quickly create new flooding problems. The good news is there will be plenty of dry time mixed in this evening and overnight.
Sunday is a First Alert Weather Day, although this is not an all-day washout. Much of the day should feature dry time before the better opportunity for storms arrives later Sunday and Sunday night. Another SLIGHT Risk (2 out of 5) for severe weather is in place, with damaging wind again the primary concern along with a lower-end tornado threat. If you have outdoor plans Sunday, keep flexibility built in and have a way to get weather alerts and a place to go if storms approach.
Storms will continue Sunday night into early Monday as the next cold front dives through the Ohio Valley. Monday morning is also a First Alert Weather Day, but conditions should improve as the morning goes along. Once that batch of storms gets out of here, we finally get a chance to dry things out.
