MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The heat’s not stopping today as heat indices will climb into the 100-105 range, but some folks should get another round of rain as we jump into the afternoon hours.
Heat
Though not as swelteringly hot as previous days, we certainly aren’t cool on this Sunday. Locations on the coast should expect to climb to around 105 in feels-like temperatures and inland areas can expect the same.
A heat advisory is in effect again today until 8 p.m.
Yesterday’s Rainfall Totals
Yesterday, we saw some serious downpours with lightning, strong winds, and even some hail along the Grand Strand and in the Peedee yesterday. Some folks got excess of 2″ of rain.

Afternoon Storms
Today’s storms will not be nearly as strong or numerous, but we cannot rule them out entirely. I expect things to begin to fire up around 3-4 p.m. and linger throuhgout the evening…
