SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Scottsdale Fire Department has called in additional resources to fight a fire at the solid waste facility, according to officials.
Officials initially responded to black smoke coming from the City of Scottsdale Solid Waste Transfer Facility, near Loop 101 and Hayden Road. When they got to the scene, officials confirmed there was an active fire inside one of the buildings, Scottsdale Fire Captain Dave Folio said.
