Because of Operation Metro Booming, a Jacksonville motel was busted for drug sales. For years, Jacksonville officers have responded to repeated calls for service at the Metro Inn on Golfair Boulevard involving drug activity, violence, thefts, and other criminal behavior, according to local law enforcement.
In January 2026, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit launched a long-term undercover investigation into drug sales at the Brentwood-area property. Over several months, undercover detectives purchased synthetic drugs known as “Flakka” from individuals selling out of the motel.
