MADISON, Ala. (WAFF) – Church leaders from across the country gathered Sunday for a groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction on a new Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple in North Alabama.
The temple will be located at the intersection of Gillespie and Browns Ferry Road in Madison. It would be only the second LDS temple in Alabama; the other is in Birmingham.
