Superseding Indictment Filed in Knox County Sheriff’s Office Corruption Case

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — Prosecutors have filed a superseding indictment in the ongoing Knox County Sheriff’s Office corruption and theft case involving 11 current and former KCSO employees and associates.

The new indictment, filed Wednesday, replaces the original indictment issued earlier this year and includes several revisions, including changes to witness lists and updates to Tennessee code references contained in the conspiracy count.

According to court filings, prosecutors changed language alleging the defendants conspired to violate Tennessee Code 39-13-104 rather than Tennessee Code 39-14-104, among other modifications.
