A Sheriff’s deputy was involved in a fatal crash with a pedestrian in Central Florida. A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy was recently involved in a crash with a pedestrian, and the pedestrian died from his injuries.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:20pm in the area of West Hillsborough Avenue and Ambassador Drive near Tampa.
The deputy was operating an unmarked 2024 Chevrolet Silverado while traveling eastbound in the center lane of West Hillsborough Ave when contact was made with a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk.
