(FOX40.COM) — Firefighters acted fast Sunday morning to contain a fire that broke out near a chemical manufacturing facility in Sacramento County, fire officials said.
Just after 11:30 a.m., the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to a reported commercial fire at Am PAC Fine Chemicals, a chemical manufacturing site located at 12295 Hartford Street in Rancho Cordova. Crews arrived to find a grass fire on the chemical plant’s property, the fire district said in a news release.
Firefighters “quickly” contained the flames, and there was no threat or damage to any of the buildings at the site. A hazardous materials response was initially called because of the nature of the facility near the flames, but it was later cancelled, fire officials said…
