CAMP TONTOZONA — Arizona State quarterbacks, third-year Cutter Boley and sixth-year Mikey Keene, were able to move the ball downfield with both the first and second teams during Saturday’s scrimmage at Camp T — the finale of the week. Yet, when they worked their way into the red zone, they were unable to punch the ball into the end zone.
The Sun Devils’ offense was unable to muster any touchdowns against their defensive counterparts, having to settle for five field goals. The offense also turned the ball over twice inside the 20-yard line and committed a pair of fouls. Despite those negatives, head coach Kenny Dillingham was pleased with what he saw on both sides of the ball.
“It was a good scrimmage,” Dillingham said. “Defense destroyed the offense in the red zone area. Offense moved the ball really well, really efficiently, just couldn’t score when they got in the low red zone. The opportunities where they could’ve created explosive plays, defense got them down.”…
