Syracuse, N.Y. — The Burlington store at Destiny USA was evacuated Saturday afternoon after firefighters detected a minor natural gas leak, firefighters said.
Around 12:24 p.m., the Syracuse Fire Department responded to 1 Destiny USA Drive for a report of a gas odor, according to Capt. Erik Caster, a spokesperson for the department.
Firefighters found slightly elevated levels of natural gas inside the Burlington store. The department called in its hazardous materials team to do more testing and determine the source of the leak, Caster said…
