RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond Raceway’s demanding surface turned Saturday night’s Cook Out 400 into a race of survival, with tire management and track position ultimately determining who contended and who struggled.
Only 11 of the 37 starters finished on the lead lap in a race dominated by long green-flag runs and pit strategy. Drivers throughout the field described a constantly changing track that punished even minor handling issues.
