After nearly 80 Years, Cashman Field nears Its final game

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — After nearly 80 years of baseball, boxing, rodeos and soccer, the lights are preparing for the final whistle at Cashman Field.

Las Vegas Lights FC announced a “Farewell to Cashman Field” campaign ahead of its final games at the downtown Las Vegas stadium. The last professional sporting event at Cashman Field is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, when the Lights face Lexington SC.

“As Las Vegas has become an internationally recognized sports city, it is important to remember and celebrate the significance of Cashman to our city’s history of professional sports culture,” Lights owner José Bautista told 8 News Now Sports Director Chris Maathuis.

Bautista said Cashman Field has been a great home for the soccer club since 2018 and that the team looks forward to welcoming fans for one final celebration…
