The Phenix City Little League team representing the Southeast in the upcoming Little League World Series is in Williamsport, Pennsylvania “taking it all in, putting in the work, and enjoying every second of this once-in-a-lifetime experience,” according to their Facebook page. The 12U All-Stars have been sharing details of their journey to become world champions with the public on social media.
The team has been hitting the practice field in Williamsport, visiting the Little League Museum, shopping for LLWS “swag” and busy making new friends from around the globe. A fundraiser is being held back home at the Culver’s Phenix City location Monday night. A portion of the sales will go directly to the team. There is also a GoFundMe account.
