A man is dead after being pulled from a swimming pool at a Jacksonville apartment complex Sunday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police say just after 6 p.m. on Aug. 16, a resident of Park Avenue Apartments on Baymeadows Circle East, was walking near the community pool when he noticed a dark object resting at the bottom of the water. Upon closer inspection, the resident realized it was a person.
The resident jumped in and pulled the victim from the pool while screaming for help. A neighbor heard the calls and rushed over. Together, the two Good Samaritans attempted CPR as they waited for emergency responders to arrive…
