SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A former court clerk for the Shelbyville Municipal Court was taken into custody after being indicted Monday for multiple offenses, including theft and evidence tampering, according to authorities.
The Shelbyville Police Department said it identified financial discrepancies during an internal review in September 2025, sparking an internal investigation. The Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury also conducted a parallel investigation.

During the internal investigation, officials said Lillia Torres was placed on administrative leave and later resigned her position with the SPD.
