WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Mötley Crüe brought decades of hard-rock excess, circus imagery and familiar anthems to iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre on Friday night, turning a milestone celebration into an evening spanning more than four hours and three bands.
The weather was nearly as intense as the music. Friday was one of the hottest days of the week, with a statewide Heat Advisory in effect and afternoon temperatures in the lower to middle 90s. Heat-index values were expected to approach 110 degrees across parts of South Florida.
The dangerous heat did not keep fans from arriving early. A strong crowd was already inside the amphitheater when Extreme opened the show.
