WT receives $15,000 state grant for free course materials

CANYON, Texas (KVII) — West Texas A&M University will receive a $15,000 state grant to expand free educational materials for students in nursing and workforce training programs.

Gov. Greg Abbott announced the award as part of more than $2 million in Open Educational Resource grants distributed to nine Texas higher education institutions for the 2026-28 cycle.
