ST. MARTINVILLE, La. (KLFY) — Flock Camera safety is changing how long license plate reader data is kept by default, but the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office said it wants to stick with a longer retention period.
Flock announced Aug. 13 that it is recommending a seven-day retention period for license plate reader data, down from the company’s previous 30-day default. Existing customers can keep their current retention periods, and communities will continue to choose how long their data is stored.
