Running back Tikey Hayes, who transferred to Nebraska from Iowa Western just last month, is no longer with the program, an NU spokesman confirmed Monday.
Hayes spent one year at Penn State before transferring to Iowa Western and then joining the Huskers in mid-July as a late addition to the running back room.
He was a standout high school player in Pennsylvania, earning all-conference honors four times. He rushed for more than 1,700 yards as a freshman, topped 2,000 yards in each of the next two seasons and added 1,022 yards with 17 touchdowns on just 97 carries as a senior…
