Suburban Chicago ZIP code named among America’s hottest housing markets for 2026

Purchasing a home is much easier in some areas than others, and much of it comes down to location.

Homebuyers may face particularly stiff competition in one Chicago suburb after it landed on a list of America’s hottest housing markets. Wheaton ranked No. 10 on Realtor.com’s Hottest ZIP code report.

With a median list price of $575,000, an average of 25 days on the market and a typical listing attracting more than three times as many online viewers as the national average, the western suburb saw homes selling slightly below list price.
