First look at the 250,000-square-foot Scheels coming to Blaine

New renderings offer a first look at the 250,000-square-foot Scheels store set to anchor a landmark redevelopment in Blaine.

The sporting goods store and a 5,000-seat minor league baseball stadium are on track to open in early 2028 at an upcoming entertainment district known as The Farm, which is now under construction near the National Sports Center.

Bader Companies and Elevage are co-developers on the project, which Blaine Mayor Tim Sanders said represents one of the most significant private investments in the north metro suburb’s history.

“This transformative project will create jobs, attract new businesses and visitors, expand entertainment and dining options, and build on Blaine’s reputation as a premier destination for sports and recreation,” Sanders said in a press release. “We are excited to see this vision take shape and the lasting impact it will have on our community for generations to come.”

The new Scheels will become the retailer’s second location in the Twin Cities and it’ll feature the attractions found at the Eden Prairie store, including a Ferris wheel and 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium displaying over 600 fish…
