Amber Alert issued for ‘endangered’ baby in Washington

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – An Amber Alert is in place Monday afternoon as police seek an “endangered” baby in Washington.

Washington State Police issued the alert for 7-month-old Marcello Martinez after a man by the name of Raul Martinez reportedly took his son from the Hazel Dell area of Vancouver on Sunday morning.

“During the incident, Raul allegedly assaulted and robbed the victim,” Clark County Sheriff’s Office said. “Raul also allegedly assaulted the victim’s seven-month-old baby, Marcello, and took him without permission.”

Officials say Raul, 37, is roughly 5’6” tall and 180 pounds with brown eyes and hair. The vehicle associated with the man does not have a license plate, but may have evidence tape on it.

Police described the child as having brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a blue onesie saying “Grandmas are the best” in neon…
