Sarasota County officials discuss proposed fire service rate increase

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Sarasota County leaders are considering an increase to fire service rates, and the public got its first chance Monday to ask county officials about the proposal during a presentation at the William H. Jervey Jr. Venice Library.

According to the county, rates would rise about $3 per month on average for residential properties. Non-residential properties would see an average increase of less than $25 per month.
