The Christian County Cattlemen’s Association is calling this year’s Lonestar Rodeo a major success, with strong attendance throughout the event, record participation in youth competition and $28,000 awarded in scholarships.
The rodeo opened Wednesday with youth qualifier events before continuing through the weekend at the Western Kentucky State Fairgrounds. Cattlemen’s Rodeo co-chair Jason Jenkins said participation in the youth events immediately surpassed expectations.
