The Gwinnett School of Math, Science and Technology — which has ranked No. 1 in the state of Georgia for 14 consecutive years — is back in the top 10 nationally according to U.S. News and World Report.
The media company released its 2026-2027 Best High Schools national rankings Tuesday with GSMST ranking No. 7 in the nation. The Central Magnet School in Murfreesboro, Tenn. is the No. 1 school in the rankings.
According to U.S. News and World Report, the 2026-2027 Best High Schools national rankings identify top public schools based on six key performance indicators, including: student achievement on state-required assessments, strong graduation rates and college readiness measures.
