Baton Rouge residents spark debate over Flock cameras’ privacy, data access

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Flock Safety cameras are once again drawing attention in Baton Rouge after the company announced changes to how its automatic license-plate reader system stores and protects vehicle data.

We first reported on concerns surrounding Flock Safety cameras in late July. The technology captures vehicle information as cars pass, including license plate numbers and other identifying details, along with the time and location of the image.
