Girl critically hurt after being struck in Augusta hit‑and‑run, arrest made

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A girl was critically hurt after being hit by a vehicle in Augusta Monday evening.

According to the Augusta Department of Public Safety, the girl was hit shortly after 7 p.m. in the 1000 block of Campbell Road, which is near Custer Lane. She was taken to a Wichita hospital.

The driver left the scene, but debris in the road suggests the vehicle may have been a 2005–2009 Pontiac G6 of an unknown color.
