Vantage Sells Denver Community for $72M

This is the buyer’s entry into the state.

Vantage Communities has sold Vantage at Loveland, a 288-unit, garden-style community located in Loveland, Colo., a submarket of Denver. JB Matteson, a San Francisco-based real estate investment firm, purchased the asset for $72.3 million at a rate of $251,000 per unit, according to Larimer County records.

JLL Capital Markets arranged a $40 million acquisition loan on behalf of the new owner through an unnamed life insurance company. The transaction marks JB Matteson’s first acquisition in Colorado, as the firm looks to expand across the state and the broader Mountain West.

Vantage at Loveland opened in 2024 and comprises 11 buildings with studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Vantage Communities received a $38.1 million construction loan from First National Bank of Omaha for the development in 2021, according to Yardi Matrix.
