STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Mayor Zohran Mamdani is spending the week on a planned family vacation in upstate New York, according to the mayor’s office.
In a statement released Tuesday, City Hall said Mamdani will be away until Sunday, Aug. 23, and that First Deputy Mayor Dean Fuleihan will lead day-to-day operations during his absence, as required under the City Charter.
